The Lyttelton Harbour] Board is receiving a good < response from cruise ship operators to a circular letter pointing out advantages at | the port for luxury liners. i The board’s commercial i manager (Mr J. B. Graham) said yesterday that letters had been received from all ' the companies involved in ithe cruise business. i : Most said that ships had: to be scheduled about two l years ahead and the information would be valuable in planning itineraries. I The last cruise ship to (visit the port, the P and O [vessel Island Princess, highlighted a big revival in the demand for cruise tours. I The cruise business is now providing P and O with an annua] revenue of 120 M, | according to company I sources in Britain. A navy helicopter from the frigate Waikato landed at Westport yesterday to drop off an officer. The aircraft landed about 8 a.m. at Westport Airport and about an hour later re-

Hughes, said the officer [brought mail from the Waikato to Westport and the helicopter took some back.
