Rod Stewart has agreed to return to New Zealand to perform in what must, be one of the surprises o the year.
He will play at. Queer Elizabeth II Park on February 22, almost two years to the day that he last played there. The reception he received from some sections of the audience, which included throwing cans and fruit, made him say that he would never “ come back.
The newly built permanent stage at the park has encouraged promoters to bring artists south. Chicago, on January 26, and The Eagles, on March 24, are definite starters. Another possibility are the Doobie Brothers, and an indoor concert is. planned for J. J. Cale.
