Situation: A large anticyclone covering the Tasman Sea is spreading on to New Zealand. Forecast:
Canterbury: Cloudy about the coast at first, otherwise fine and mild; moderate variable winds.
Marlborough, Nelson: Variable winds with daytime
sea breezes about the coast; fine weather prevailing but cloudy areas morning and night; mild. Buller, Westland: Cloudy areas at first with scattered drizzle or light rain, otherwise fine and mild, moderate, variable winds. Outlook: Coastal cloud night and morning in Canter* bury, otherwise fine; else, where fair.
