G. Noble’s team for Auckland
The Yaldhurst trainer, George Noble, is well known for his successful forays to the Auckland area. This year he will have a team of four at northern meetings in the next few weeks. He intends sending Scottish Heath, Lancia, Tonie Gallant and Hanover Star north next week in the care I of Doug Mangos, Scottish Heath and Lancia have compiled fine records at Alexandra Park, while Tonie Gallant recorded a number of placings there earlier in the season. f Lancia, a CS horse, was
rather surprisingly given the : third right of re-entry in the S. J. Moore Stakes at the iNew Brighton meeting on Saturday. While her form ■;background is not particularly strong, she raced quite ’well from awkward marks Throughout the Cup meeting .and with a little luck should ’have finished much closer ■on several occasions. She looks close to worth while form and should be a winner fairly early on the ’rip. I Hanover Star will be an interesting newcomer to the Auckland scene. He is ■owned in the north and looks the type to make a big impression.
