Family suicide
:NZPA-Reuter Tokyo Nine persons, believed to be a Prefectural Assemblyman and members of his family, have been found dead after apparently committing mass suicide near the central Japan city of Shizvoka. The police say that seven of the nine were found dead in a mini-bus, the bodies of two others lying nearby on the bed of the Ohi River at nearby Yoshida. Identification of the bodies was yet tp be confirmed, [they said. [ The tragedy came to light
after the Town Clerk o| [Yoshida had received a let ter from Mr Heikichi Ogiwara, a member of the Pre, fectural (provincial) Assembly of Tochigi, north oi Tokyo, to the effect that hi and eight family member! [including grandchildrer would die because of a fam ily failure in business, th» police said. They said no furthei details were immediately available, except that the two bodies in the river bet were badly charred. Mr Ogiwara was a grain, and-fuel dealer in his home town of Sano.
