FOR CROPPING FARMERS

A cropping farmers’ field day will be held at Lincoln College next Thursday beginning at. 10 a.m. on the sports field. There it is intended to split the visitors into a number of groups, which will make a walking tour of the cropping farm under the guidance of people like the farm supervisor and farm manager. In the afternoon there

will be a series of stands set up around which people will move to listen to talks on a series of topics including weed control, tick beans, rygrass seed production, a ’ side roll irrigator developed by the Agricultural Engineering Institute, the soil nitrogen testing service, wheat varieties and white clover production particularly related to time of closing crops.
