Gay Rights: It’s Time Each human being in our community is entitled to these basic human rights: • The right to dignity • The right to privacy • The right to control over her/his body, providing it does not interfere with the rights of others • The right to children, whether one's own or adopted • The right to work • The right to a home • The right of access to goods, services and public facilities • The right to protection by, and equality under, the law • The right to recognition in a relationship in areas such as taxation, mobility within jobs, loans, housing, inheritance from death, hospital visiting—the same as a married or de facto couple. Gay rights are not extravagant demands. Gay rights are simply human rights. The National Gay Rights Coalition is working for human rights for gay people. Think about it.
