Two badly hurt
A man was thrown irjtoj' the sea, and another landed; on rocks, after the motor-! ■ cycle they were riding! struck a pole in Main Road,: near Shag Rock, Sumner, at! 8.15 p.m. yesterday. Both men were critically! injured. However, theirnames and details of their in-l juries were not available! early this morning. A man who saw the accident rescued the man in the water who was floating face! I up. The motor-cyclists were .apparently travelling from 'Sumner towards the city; iwhen their machine suddenly! veered across the centre-line! of the road and hit the pole !
