‘Sweeney’ role for Barbara Ewing
The New Zealand actress, Barbara Ewing, at present playing the lead role in Television One’s drama "Rachel,” can be seen in a very different role in tonight’s “Sweeney” episode entitled “Bait.”
Regan has set out to catch a modern-day “Bonnie And Clyde” but the question is; will he succeed or will the police be made fools of again.
Barbara Ewing plays the pari of Joan Mascal, a woman who has done time with the Bonnie part of the duo and now looks after her daughter from time to time.
Also co-starring is George Sewell, familiar from his earlier Thames Television productions “Callan and “Special Branch.” “The Sweeney” screens on Television One.
