Racing help for charity
Racing owners and trainers have responded generously in preparations for a function at Riccarton racecourse on Monday, arranged to raise funds in aid of the “International Year of the Child.” The Inner Wheel of Hornby has completed arrangements for a charity luncheon. and following it there will be a parade of some of the top gallopers engaged at the Canterbury Jockey Club’s New Zealand Cup meeting, and a dressage display. The thoroughbreds to be paraded in front of the members’ . stand after the luncheon will include the glamour filly. Springride, and the New Zealand Cup topweight Royal Cadenza.
