Wool sale easier
PA Wellington Compared with the Christchurch wool sale, on Thursday, prices at the Wellington sale yesterday for hogget and ewe fleece were up to 2| per cent cheaper. "Crutchings and oddments were in buyers’ favour, said the official report. The offering of 11,925 bales was 55 per cent hogget, 17 per cent ewe and early-shorn, 5 per cent crutchings, and the rest, oddments. The main buying strength came from Western and Eastern Europe. The range of prices was: Crossbred Hogget, 50/565:
