New club crammed
| A Christchurch tennis club! has had such an over-! whelming response since it! opened its doors for the first’ time a few weeks ago that it! has had to close its member-! ship. The Te Kura Club was the; first in Canterbury to use! school facilities for its activ-l ities; it plays on six courts! ;at Christchurch Boys’ High| ! School, with the sanction of! j the, school’s board of gover-l Inors. But with 320 members ral-j i lying round enthusiastically! the club has found that it! cannot cater for any more; players. And so, reluctantly,! it has put up the member-j ship shutters.
