Situation: An anticyclone centred over the south Tasman Sea is moving slowly eastwards. The southerly airstream over New Zealand is weakening. Forecasts: Canterbury: Winds becoming light or moderate, tending north-east in coastal places; coastal showers in the north dying out; mainly fine, with moderate afternoon temperatures.
Marlborough, Nelson: Fresl: I but moderating cold south , erly winds, with a fev. showers this morning h eastern Marlboroug' coastal areas; otherwi fine, with moderate aftenoon temperatures. , Buller, Westland: Lig ; winds; fine, with modern afternoon temperatures. Outlook: Fine in Canterbury, Maborough, and Nelson; fair c the West Coast.
