CHANGE NO. 26. PUBLIC UTILITY WORKS The Town and Country Planning Act 1977 permits certain aspects of public services as predominant uses in all zones e.g. power lines, sewer pipes, etc. There are however, other aspects such as M.E.D. kiosk substations, water and wastewater pumping stations, etc., which are considered to be appropriate in most parts of the city so long as certain conditions, designed to minimise any detraction from amenities, are met. These and other similar public works are included inthe proposed change as predominant uses in all zones subject to certain conditions.
