CHRISTCHURCH TRANSPORT BOARD DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS BUSES
THE CHRISTCHURCH TRANSPORT BOARD will have available for sale shortly ten (10) omnibuses surplus to its requirements. Details are: A.E.C. REGAL MARK IV, 2 door city buses, diesel engined, with all metal Crossley or Park Royal 42 seat bodies, 33 feet long. Year of manufacture, 1952 and 1954. All these vehicles are currently in full running order, fully licenced and certificated, operating in passenger service. After withdrawal from service on October 20, they will be sold on an “as is, where is” basis, with no guarantee either given or implied. They can be inspected after October 20 by arrangement with the Board’s Workshop Superintendent (telephone 794-260). Tenders for the purchase of all, or any, of these vehicles must be in writing, in a sealed envelope clearly endorsed “Tender for surplus buses” addressed to: the General Manager, Christchurch Transport Board, P.O. Box 927, CHRISTCHURCH. The price offered per vehicle and the number of vehicles tendered for must be clearly specified. Tenders will not be accepted after 4 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 1978.
