Flood-relief land surplus
Five properties bought by the Christchurch Drainage Board for the Dudley Creek diversion project in the northern suburbs will probably be sold when flood-re-lief work is done. The board’s finance committee has recommended that the five lots — two in Lake Terrace Road, two in Clearbrook Street and one in Philpotts Road — be sold by
tender after a report by a public valuer. A sixth property, in Marshland Road, is being ueed to sink a big stormwater pipe. The first option for that section may be given to the adjacent property owner, who has shown an interest in it for 12 years and has used the land for several years.
