PA Auckland The biggest Auckland Regional Authority reading project yet, the $7.5M Avon d a 1 e-New Lynn Bypass, has been officially opened by the Minister of Works, (Mr W. L. Young). The 3km bvpass links New Lynn with Avondale across the Whau River and the Rewarewa Creek. The National Roads Board subsidised the project at $3 for $1 to a total of 55.6 M. Mr Young dismissed recent suggestions that the N.R.B. might not have had its right priorities in allocating funds to particular projects.
