Export meat plant hopes
The Pheonix Meat Company Ltd, is seeking $1,242,000 from West Coast farmers and the public to build an export meat packing house and by-products processing facilities at Kokiri near Stillwater on the West Coast. These will be associated with an abattoir. The chairman of the company, Mr S. M. Wallace, is seen with a prospectus for the issue, which will open on September 20.
