THE ICE SKATER Gracefully gliding over the ice, Speedily zooming past the crowd, Arms and legs forming the shape of a gentle figure, Amazing twists, turns, bends and stretches, The white boots of the skater cutting the top of the ice. As she leaps, curls, and skates around the ring, The crowds cheer. Debra Campbell, aged 12. THE FAMILY The family is very special, A close-knit band. All interdependent, Living hand in hand. A family sticks together Despite arguments and fights, They are inseparable, Through lows, and heights. Happiness is the key note, Respect thy fellow man, Love one another, That’s the family plan. Terrence Daken, aged 12. MATHS My maths solutions aren’t quite right. I sit and ponder them at night. But every way that I do try The answer sheet, it seems to lie. Grant Pearce, aged 12.
