CROMWELL BOROUGH COUNCIL CROMWELL EXPANSION CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT The Cromwell Borough Council has been requested by the Minister of Works and Development to undertake planning in the Borough, to provide for the expansion of Cromwell as Headquarters of the construction force for the Cooper Valley Development. The Council intends utilising fully the provisions of sections 36 and 58 of the Town and Country Planning Act which win result in definite provisions in the district scheme for the size, type, location and number of premises whiqh will be permitted within the business district. This district comprises the Civic Retail and Commercial, special Commerical, Licenced premises and Accommodation zones for the town.
