Need seen for new sex film

| PA Hamilton The New Zealand ParentTeacher Association has called for the early production of a New Zealand-made sex education film. The association’s annual conference at Hamilton yesterday decided that finance should be allocated urgently’ by the Education Department or Health Department for the making of a film for intermediate-age children to view with parents. It is hoped that the film could be produced in New Zealand using New Zealand actors. The Marlborough P.T.A. Federation, which presented the remit, said there was a need for children aged 10 to 13 to receive sex education. Available films were either outdated or unsuitable.

I Several delegates ex- • pressed caution over the i proposed film’s content and the remit was not passed unanimously.
