Ellington

Concord Jazz, of California. have released a specially-produced album whose sales will benefit the Duke Ellington Cancer Centre in New York. The album, which is featured on “Jazz Scene” tonight (national radio), is introduced by the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Andrew Young. It contains a number of interpretations of Ellington compositions by artists such as Bing Crosby Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney and Woody Herman. All are backed by a quintet led by the drummer, Jake Hanna.
