Scott, had (been acting out of order in ! trying to sway the Govern-* • ment over the issue of a Bayswater ferry licence to ' the Auckland Launch and (Towboat Company, Ltd, said I its director, Mr H. L. Julian, i yesterday. Mr Scott, a director of ! North Shore Ferries, Ltd, has threatened to resign (from the National Party be(cause of a message from the Minister of Transport, (Mr (McLachlan). I The message said that the : Government intended to (enact legislation making valid all licences issued by the Auckland Regional Transport Licensing Authority. Among these was one for the Auckland Launch and Towboat Company, to run a Bayswater ferry. North Shore Ferries had challenged the validity of all licences issued by the licensing authority.
