A return series of ‘Fair Go’
Television’s One’s “consumer protection” programme “Fair Go” returns tonight for a new series. Fronting the programme again is the “new look”
Brian Edwards (above) with Martyn Bates, Judy Fyfe, and a newcomer, Alison Parr, reporting. Alison works for Radio New Zealand’s “Checkpoint” programme in Wellington, where she has been for the last 19 months. Born, bred and educated in Dunedin, where she did an arts degree, she began her broadcasting career as a researcher for the N.Z.B.C. She moved to News and, when R.N.Z. started in Dunedin, manned their News office for 18 months before taking a threemonth trip to England. On her return she took up the “Checkpoint” job. The producer, Peter Morritt, says that apart from a new set there are few changes planned for “Fair Go.” Hie formula is well-proven and apart from a little fine-tuning of established routines he sees no need for any change.
