Evison for Aust, film

PA Wellington Pat Evison, the New Zealand actress, has received confirmation of her casting in a substantial role in a feature film to be produced in Australia.

The film is “Tim,” based on a novel by Colleen McCullough, author of the recent best-seller, “The Thorn Birds.” Production will start in Australia next month.

The screen play has been written by Michael Pate and the film will be made by Pisces Productions. Miss Evison’s role will be that of Emily Melville, mother of Tim.

This will be her second appearance in an Australian feature film. She previously played a part in “Cabbie.” “I’m very thrilled,” Miss Evison said yesterday, “especially as Australian feature films have had major successes recently.”
