N.Z. statesmen to appear on stamps

PA Wellington New Zealand statesmen will be lured on a new set of stamps to be issued in Februar., next year. ! It is the first time New ! Zealand political figures have been the subject of a I stamp issue. The stamps will consist I of three designs, depicting s portraits' o'f Sir George I Grey, Sir , Julius Vogel, | and Richard John Seddon. A further series using the same theme may follow. Other stamp issues during 1979 .will be a set of

four depicting colonial architecture in New Zealand (April 4); ~ scenic issue of four featuring small harbours (June 6); three health stamps centred on the marine environment, and one stamp recognising the United Nations International Year of the Child (August 1); three Christmas stamps (October 3); new $1 and $2 definitive stamps depicting seashells; and a set of three stamps marking the holding of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference m New Zealand (November 26).
