Geothermal diploma
PA Wellington New Zealand with the co-operation of the United Nations Development Programme, will establish a training course in geothermal energy technology at the University of Auckland. The course will provide training for up to 17 students " from developing countries, and some New Zealand students.
Through bilateral aid programmes, New Zealand already makes a substantial contribution to the development of geothermal energy in countries such as Indonesia and the Philippines. The course will provide a one-year postgraduate diploma in geothermal technology for engineers and earth scientists.
