Situation: The large anticyclone covering New Zealand is moving slowly eastwards. The depression near Norfolk Island is moving slowly southwards bringing an increasing easterly airstream on to the far north of the country. Forecasts: Canterbury: Fine, cool weather; light winds with
north-easterlies gradually prevailing. Marlborough, Nelson: Fine, cool weather; light winds with north-easterlies gradually prevailing. Buller, Westland: Fine and cool apart from some cloudy areas morning and night; little wind. Outlook: Cloudy in all districts.
