Cottage sells for $28,000
A two-bedroom cottage on 4047 sq. m. at Neeves Road, Clarkville, sold at auction v:sterday for $28,000 — $6OOO above the 1976 Government valuation. The property is suitable for market gardening. The auctioneer was Mr R. I. Stark, of Wrightson-NMA, Ltd. A 70ha property at Burdons Road, Bumham, was passed in at auction at $56,000. It was sold privately soon after. No Government valuation was available. Th? property, which is subdivided into four padcks and no buildings, has been used for sheep fattening for the last 28 years. The auctioneer was Mr M. W. Johnston, for Pyne Gould Guinness Ltd.
