The person appointed would be involved in both Rennet production and the quality control procedures associated with that production. The process of Rennet production involves the extraction of an enzyme from raw materials and the subsequent purification of that enzyme by various techniques including ion-exchange chromatography, precipitation and freeze drying. THE OTAGO HOSPITAL BOARD UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGICAL MEDICINE - 1979 APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED for positions as Registrars in the Department of Psychological Medicine at Wakari Hospital, and Clinical Tutors in Psychological Medicine, University of Otago. Applicants must hold a Degree in Medicine from an approved University, have been qualified for two years and have held Hospital appointments for at least one year. They must be licensed to practise in New Zealand. The appointment will be regarded as part of the appointee’s residential training with a view to specialising in psychiatry and obtaining a higher qualification in the speciality, and applicants desiring such training and experience will be given preference. Training opportunities fulfil the requirements for Membership of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, and include attachments at the various specialist services (therapeutic community, adult and child outpatients. adolescent, and adult inpatients, liaison, etc.) and a 6-montb attachment at Cherry Farm Hospital in the third year.
