FIRMER N.Z. MARKET
The New Zealand sharemarket closed on a firmer note in steady trading yesterday. Wattie and Trans Holdings rose on recent reports, as did McKenzies on its annual report. Clyde fell 1c on its decline in profits and Andrews and Beaven was also easier.
