Sponsorship doubled

The trustees of the estate of the late George Adams will double their sponsorship in 1979 to $19,000 for the Canterbury Jockey Club’s feature race at Eastern. This was announced by the C.J.C. chairman, Mr John Fulton, at the annual general meeting of members last evening. Mr Fulton said that the Increased sponsorship stemmed from the success of the club’s Easter carnival this year and the general upgrading of the programme.

The sponsorship has now existed for 15 years.
