Extension of relief
PA Wellington The increased levels of I drought relief introduced 1 in mid-March will be ex- I tended until the end of August, says the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Mac- I Intyre). The increased assistance, I which had almost doubled the level of drought relief measures, was originally intended to remain in effect until June 30. But Mr Maclntyre said that the Caoinet had agreed i to extend the increased assistance until August 31 to allow time for completion of an over-all review of adverse event relief assistance. A decision on the future levels of assis- ! tance was likely to be an- ! nounced in August, he said.
