Graham Parker (above) and The Rumour return to “Radio with Pictures” on South Pacific Television this evening. The New Zealand band, Red Hot Peppers, which is now on
the Sydney club circuit, is also in the show. Top of this evening’s bill is Jefferson Starship, considered by some to be the most innovative band to have survived on the rock scene from the days of psychedelia. Their recent
single, “Count On Me,” is captured on film while the group rehearses. Two new boogie-soul bands also appear in the grogramme. Eruption, a black combo based in Germany, sing “I Can’t Stand the Rain,” and Village People, a New
York band, perform with their strong percussion line-up. Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams sing their world-wide hit, “Too Much, Too Little, Too Late,” and Sweet perform a track from their latest album.
