Angus bulls
[ Recent rises in the market [for prime beef and store cattle will take some time to react on the market for herd bulls. This was evident when Mount Torlesse station (Springfield) held its annual sale of rising two-year-old (Angus bulls this week. Twenty-seven lots sold at $3OO to $llOO, for an average of $537, compared with an average of $5BO last year. The top price was $llOO for a single entry sold to J. R. Tod. hunter and Sons (Rakaia Gorge). Canterbury buyers took the! bulk of the offering, and ai few bulls were destined for’ the West Coast and the > southern Wairarapa.
