New York loan
The Senate has passed a b”l providing $1.5 billion in ioan guarantees to keep New York city from bankruptcy. The vote was 53-27. The guarantees, lasting up to 15 years, will replace direct Federal loans to New York that expire today. They will enable the city to borrow money to solve its financial p.oblems in New York.
