Midland Coachlines, Ltd, has announced three new appointments in its Hertz i rental car business. The new (Christchurch regional manager is Mr R. Bond, pre-
viously Christchurch branch manager. He will be responsible for operations in Picton, Blenheim, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Mr R. Shepard is the new Central regional manager. Previously Wellington branch manager, he is now responsible for the Napier, Palmerston North,
Lower Hutt, and Wellington areas. Mr C. O’Brien has been appointed Northern regional manager, responsible for the Paihia, Whangarei, Auckland and Rotorua locations as well as Auckland Airport. The appointments have been made as a result of the restructuring of the Hertz location operations throughout the country. The dirdirectors of the Chase-N.B.A. New Zealand Group have announced the appointment of Mr R. H. Worn as general manager of Chase-N.B.A. New Zealand Group, Ltd, and subsidiary companies. He succeeds Mr T. E. C. Saunders. Mr Worn was born in New Plymouth and now lives in Wellington, but will move to Auckland. His professional qualifications include B. Com. (Victoria University) and A.C.A. He has been in professional accounting practice, held senior executive positions in New Zealand and overseas. The board of directors of Smith-Biolab, Ltd, has appointed Mr Barry Blackshaw, general manager of Downing Plastics Industries, Ltd, of Masterton, an associate director pf the board. Mr Blackshaw has been with the group for two years, and is a past president of the Plastics Institute of New Zealand.
