“The Press” will have a reporter and photographer covering the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton. Our chief photographer, Des Woods, and Rod Dew, w’ho has been reporting on sport in “The
Press” for 16 years, will be at the games to ensure the fullest possible reporting of events. Both will be in Canada before the opening ceremony on August 3. Both had major roles in reporting the Commonwealth
Games In Christchurch in 1974. Our picture shows them over a map of Edmonton. Our page 10 today is the first of a series of reports on preparations for Edmonton. This report is by Rod Dew.
