Kidnaps

At least two kidnap attempts are planned. Both will take place today and the hostages will be held to ransom until “the funds come in.”

A Radio Avon news-reader will be dragged from his studio this morning, and a North Island politican will be bagged at the Christchurch Airport.

The disc jockey will be instructed in sky diving while he is held hostage. When .$2OOO has been raised, he will be “thrown out of an aircraft 3500 ft above Wigram.”

“We think we’ll give him a chute,” said the organisers. The chances are 50 to 50 that it will open.
