All games off
All rugby matches in Christchurch this weekend have been put off because of the sodden condition of playing fields in the city. This will mean that the senior contest will be put back a further week, but junior grades will still finish on time, with no additional matches a spokesman for the Canterbury Rugby Union said last evening.
The decision also means that virtually all major and minor outdoor sport is off.
