The two appointees must be capable of planning and supervising opossum control operations from the stage of initial bait acceptance trials and pre-assessment of populations through all stages to conclusion of the operation. Some experience in staff control and training is preferred. Commencing salary will depend on years of relevant experience and qualifications for the position. Location will initially be in the Manawatu, Wairarapa or Wellington region. Some travelling will be involved. Remuneration of up to $11,363 per annum plus allowances for protective clothing and housing will be paid. Financial assistance with household and personal removal expenses is also available.
