Two works closed
PA Invercargill The Southland freezing industry was hit by more stoppages yesterday. Only two of the province's four works processed stock, and Federated Farmers (Southland) has placed a ban on the employment of workers from Ocean Beach and Makare.wa, the two works not processing. Only 31 lambs were killed at Makarewa before the slaughtermen met for two hours and went home. It is believed that work did not begin at Ocean Beach.
