Tombarra arrives

PA Auckland The Scan Carriers ship Tombarra has arrived at Auckland to inaugurate a new roll-on shipping service between Europe and New Zealand. The 22,000-tonne vessel will be one of three of the line’s ships calling at Auckland, Napier, and Timaru 14 times a year. Each can carry almost any kind of cargo, whether it be rolling material, heavy machinery, bulk liquids, palletised units or containers. By this means they will be able to provide a container-type service to two non-container ports.
