Squid catch
The Minister of Fisheries (Mr Bolger) yesterday described as “patently ridiculous” a statement in Parliament by the Labour spokesman on Fisheries (Mr M. F. Courtney, Nelson) | that Japanese fishermen would be allowed to take squid worth S4OOM from New Zealand waters next season. Mr Bolger said there had been no allocation so far of the squid catch for next season. — (P.A.).
