PURSUANT to Section 52 of the Rating Act, 1967, Public Notice is hereby given that in exercise of the powers conferred on it in that behalf, it Is the intention of the Amurl County Council at its ordinary meeting to be held at 1.30 p.m. on Friday, July ■ 7, 1978, at the Council Chambers, Culverden, to make and levy the following rates and ‘ charges: 1. Under Section 136 of the Local Government Amendment Act No. 3 1977, a general rate of .53 cents in the - dollar on the capital value . of all rateable property ; appearing on the valuation - rolls of the Amur! County. 1 2. Under the Local Government Amendment Act No. 3 1977, and the Amur! County Water race By-laws: (a) A Balmoral Water Race Loan and Maintenance Amalgamated rate of .28, f .14, .07 of a cent in the < dollar on the Capital ( Value of Classes A, B, C, \ lands respectively in the ! Balmoral Water Race 1 District. ( (b) A Waiau Plains Water J Race Maintenance Charge , of one dollar per hectare on all rateable land In the Waiau Plains Water Race District. 3. Under Section 143 of the Local Government Amend- . ment Act No. 3 1977, a Waiau Hall Maintenance Rate of .01 of a cent in the dollar on the Capital value of all rate- ' able property in the Waiau and Lyndon Ridings. 4. Under Section 163 of the , Local Government Amendment Act No. 3 1977, a charge of $lO for domestic and $l5 for trade refuse removal in ■ the Hanmer, Culverden, 1 Rotherham and Waiau Town : Areas. < 5. Under Section 162 of the | Local Government Amend- , ment Act No. 3 1977, a charge of $l5 per w.c. or urinal connected to the Hanmer Sewer- ' age System. 6. In exercise of the powers i conferred on it by Sections ] 143 and 158 of the Local Government Amendment Act . No 3 1977, and in pursuance of Part 22 of the County ByLaws the following water supply and maintenance charges: (a) A Hanmer Springs Water Supply Loan and Maintenance rate of .06 of a cent in the dollar in the Hanmer Water Supply Area. (b) An additional charge of .15 cents per five thousand litres on all commercial lands and buildings in the Hanmer and Waiau water supply special areas on a metered supply, for all water used in excess of 450,000 litres per annum. 7. (a) A Waiau Township Water Supply Loan and Maintenance annual uniform charge varying from $24 to $lOO as classified for connections on al! lands in the Waiau Township Water Supply Area. (b) An annual uniform charge of $4 on sections to which water can be connected. 8. (a) A Culverden Township Water Loan and Maintenance annual uniform charge varying from $36 to $4OO as classified for all connections on all lands In the Culverden Township Water Supply Town Area. (b) An annual uniform charge of $lO for Sections to which water can be connected. 9. Under Section 143 (c) of the Local Government Amendment Act No. 3 1977, a Pahau Riding Amenities 1 Rate of .015 cents in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the Pahau Riding. 10. A Hanmer Springs War Memorial Hall Loan Special Rate of .003 of a cent in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property In the Hanmer Riding. 11. Marlborough Catchment Board Administrative Rate of 0.06372 cents in the dollar on capital value of all rateable land in the Marlborough Catchment Board District I under the jurisdiction of the Amur! County Council. 12.
