Burks and Jerk The latest single to sweep Britain is a song called “Matchstick .Men and Matchstalk Cats and Dogs” by Brian and Michael. The song is nursery school ditty complete with a children’s choir, and its only worthy feature is a tribute to the late Lancashire painter, L. S. Lowry, who chose to portray scenes of industry in a child-like manner. Apparently the song is causing many a rock fan to retch upon hearing, and has been banned by some radio stations. Brian and Michael are better known on the English cabaret circuit as “Burks and Jerks.” Simon says Paul Simon will change labels from CBS Records to Warner Bros, when he finishes his next album. So far he has recorded 12 albums for CBS, including seven with Art Garfunkel,
