Welcome to Cheryl Ladd
Cheryl Ladd (Kris Munroe in “Charlie’s Angels”) arrived in Los Angeles from Huron, South Dakota, seven years ago and landed a job as a singing
voice in the Hanna-Bar-
bara cartoon series, “Josie and the Pussycats.”
Since then she has made more than 100 TV commercials and appeared in an impressive list of television series including “Switch,” “Ironside,” “The Partridge Family,” “Happy Days” and “Police Woman.” She has also appeared in feature films. Her parents and most of her family still live in Huron, where her father is an engineer with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad Co. She has two brothers and an older sister.
Cheryl has been married for four years to the actor, David Alan Ladd, son of the late actor, Alan Ladd. Cheryl and David have one child, a girl aged two.
Cheryl, a natural blonde with blue-green eyes, began her career as Cheryl Stoppelmoor. As a youngster she studied voice and dancing, originally aspiring to a career in music.
Encouraged by her father she entertained family and friends by singing and playing guitar. As a teen-ager she toured South Dakota with a local singing group, “The Music Shop.” Through an appearance on “The Tonight Show” she attracted the attention
of recording industry executives, later signing with Capitol Records. Her favourite recreations are physical activities including tennis, gymnastics and scuba diving.
