The former AU Black and Canterbury rugby wing. Terry Mitchell, just failed to beat the staying greyhound. Sweat Dream, in a novelty race at Queen Elizabeth II Park yesterday. The event was organised by the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club. Mitchell made a fast start and seemed to be in control of the race. With 200 m to run he still held a 120 m lead over the Long Wave bitch. However, Sweat Dream found its pace in the home straight

In another event, a 200 m tyre- ! rolling race for news media and racing representatives, was won by Rodney Bryant from Gordon Kingston, Brian Hastings, Reon ? Murtha. Bobbv Nyhan, 1 Peter .
