Witnesses sought
The Ministry of Transport would like to speak to witnesses of a hit-and-run accident in Winters Road. Mairehau, on Friday evening. involving a car and a young cyclist The cyclist. Kevin Andrew Poll, aged 13, of 30 Wairemu Street, suffered moderately serious head injuries. He was discharged from Princess Margaret Hospital yesterday. The accident occurred about 500 m west of Hills Road, about 6 pun. The
Ministr}- would appreciate any information which would lead to the identification of the car involved. The Ministr}’ would also like to speak to the drivers of tw’o cars which were forced to take evasive action when a Ford Capri vehicle allegedly drove along rhe wrong side of Harper Avenue early on Saturday morning. The incident occurred between the Totem Pole and Fendalton Road, about 1 a.m.
