Day off

Wal and Dog of Footrot Flats are on a five-day week from today, and one of their days off is Saturday. The cartoon strip will now be printed from Monday to Friday. The artist, Murray Ball, has a contract with the newspapers which run the strip -o produce sufficient for five days a week. Only “The Press," drawing from a backlog, has been printing them six days a week. The backlog is now exhausted and Wai and Dog will be having the week-ends to themselves, out of the public eye.
